I hope Regent has excellent security, to rip who ever has that suite out from the room when the cruise finally ends.

Kowloon Shangri-la Hotel, Hong Kong

Great hotel! Been staying there at least twice a year for 20+ years (minus Covid). The club floor has a very helpful staff. Agree on breakfast. -
Guaranteed specialty restaurant reservations
Snore42 replied to DaisyUK's topic in Regent Seven Seas Cruises
If in a Grand/Master/Regent Suite, your butler can confirm reservations for each night while on board. You can also have the meals from Compass Rose, Chartreusse, Prime 7 or Pacific Rim restaurant served in room. I wouldn't worry about booking the reservations before the cruise, if you are in any of these suites. -
Custom Air and ”married” schedules
Snore42 replied to WorldTravelers56's topic in Regent Seven Seas Cruises
To add to Papflamingo's comment, this also would mean if you miss the connection, the airline won't be responsible to rebook you. Their system would see it as two separate bookings and not their problem you missed the connection. Also I believe the checked luggage may have to be rechecked between segments, depending on the airline. -
The credit that Regent gives to passengers, doesn't equal what they are actually charged by the airline.

I'd highly suggest a private driver/guide for ports that are once in a lifetime type places. We would never take a group tour to those type of places, that is far from our idea of luxury. With a private driver/guide, you don't have the same time restrictions at a stop, as you would a group tour and get a more personal experience. Our TA has always booked the private tours for us, and if there was an issue with a tour, she has stood behind the booking and gotten us money back or a credit towards a future tour. Regent is our current favorite cruise line, but the included excursions have little value to us, unless it's the Caribbean or other places we've been to previously.

I'd also add a visit to Eze is very nice, when docked in Monte Carlo. The tour we took with Regent did a bus to Eze, with walking tour. Then took us back down to the Royal Palace just in time to see the changing of the guard.

Regent Suite - some questions
Snore42 replied to groovycruiser1's topic in Regent Seven Seas Cruises
Yes spa treatments are unlimited (to those registered to the suite). The service can be done in room or down at the spa and your butler will coordinate these with you on arrival. Generally the head butler is assigned to this suite and will be at the ready at all times for any requests. Dom is the champagne in suite. No better options are included, but you can always request your brands of choice and Regent will either include it or tell you what the uncharge will be. Unlimited dining reservations and also can order from any restaurant for in room service. You also get private access the "the study" which you can see on deck plans is in the back of Prime 7. There you can have custom chef dinners. -
Adding Hilton status to pre-cruise hotel
Snore42 replied to MarEll1's topic in Regent Seven Seas Cruises
Have you tried calling Hilton Honors with your reservation #? They should be able to add your HH#. Unless Regent doesn't give you a confirmation code? -
How is it being selfish? I grew up cruising on luxury lines. At the age of 5 I took my first cruise, Royal Viking with my family to Alaska. From there, my family would cruise at least twice a year along with other travels around the world. This opened my eyes even at a young age to different cultures and history. What better education can children have than actual experiences around the world? A disney cruise does not offer these same experiences. My sister and I always found things to do (despite the cruises not having kids programs) and made friends with the adults on board, where we'd end up playing cards or doing puzzles among other things. If you want to avoid children, there are lines like Viking that don't allow people under 18 on board. Otherwise be ready to see children on board a Regent ship. Regent does cater to children during the alaska and holiday sailings, where they have kids groups with staffed supervision.

Getting your UK passport stamped when departing the EU ports
Snore42 replied to John117's topic in Regent Seven Seas Cruises
Wouldn't the customs agent have seen when your passport was scanned in the UK? All passports are scanned these days and a record comes up in the system of all places it's logged, regardless of physical stamp they give you in the passport. -
Is there a Regent Casinos Players Club?
Snore42 replied to GMIAC's topic in Regent Seven Seas Cruises
There is at least one person who has stayed in the Regent Suite due to their prolific gambling across the NCL lines. So depending on level of play, you can get some good bonuses. With Regent they don't seem to highlight the benefits. Maybe because much of the clientele have deep enough wallets to really put a dent into the casino benefits if they wanted.
