My friends and I just booked a Amsterdam to Brussels market trip with Tauck for December 6-13, 2023. From what I’m reading there are not a lot of markets like we’ve seen in Germany, located in Amsterdam and they don’t open until mid December. Can anyone comment on this. I’ve read there is a small market at Musemplein with ice skating. We will have 2 full days to explore.

I’ve been enjoying your post. So sorry about your recent fall. I’m the queen of bad ankles and broken lower legs(3 times). If you can find a air cast support in a pharmacy you will really should buy one. I’ve used them numerous times. They can be worn with any type shoe and give your injured ankle major support. So much better than wrapping it. Sprains/strains are slow to heal. We loved Barcelona and our trip up to the monastery at Monserrat..

I’m trying to help a friend prepare for this cruise later in August. Her’s is the extended 9 day version. We live in very small town and she is frustrated over lack of testing sites to meet her boarding criteria. Has anyone recently done this cruise and waited to test for Covid in the Athens airport or locally? She leaves on Thursday arriving in Athens Friday morning sailing on Sunday. Any advice or tips greatly appreciated. The CC group is always so helpful. Wish I was going with her.

Didn’t I read that the U S, Canada and Athens Greece are the only embarkation ports that require a negative Covid test? I agree with dropping testing…and wearing a mask, too.

Thanks BirdTravels…she flies from US to Athens on Thursday, boards ship on Sunday from information below (# 2 option) we both think she can test Thursday morning before boarding flight. Test results are emailed to you. We tested on Wednesday for a Saturday departure. I also used the Verifly and it was convenient. Each cruise line is different… ≥ 12 years Provide proof of one of the following: 1) Negative COVID-19 antigen test result administered by a verified third party within two days of the embarkation date 2) NAAT test (i.e. PCR) result administered by a verified third party within three days of embarkation date 3) COVID-19 Recovery Certificate*

I’m helping a friend prepare for a Greek Island cruise mid-August. She does not use CC. I’m not a frequent NCL guest, so do they use or recommend an app such as Verifly to organize your pre-cruise requirements? She’ll have her Covid test right before flying out on Thursday for a Sunday cruise departure, so she is concerned about having a way to print them. Hoping the hotel will offer that service. Thanks for any help.

Our family spent a very enjoyable day on the beach behind the BCH. We purchased the day pass at the Fins Up at Margaritaville for $23 each. 5 adults 3 teenagers. Chairs, tiki style umbrellas and several large loungers with cushions. We shared the day with maybe 20-25 people total. The beach bar located near the pool, which is not open, provided great drinks and we ordered sandwiches and salads that were delivered from Margaritaville by tipping the delivery guy generously. The bartender was very friendly and helpful. He told us the property has been purchased by the Margaritaville corporation and is undergoing extensive renovations inside with a target opening date in February 2023. If you want a quiet day on the beach…this is your place. We highly recommend it.
