  1. Still can’t believe there are no videos of this room yet. Interested in seeing the new bedroom and bath arrangement.
  2. If I recall correctly, at the end of that TA Doug wrote that they were stepping back from organizing all the events and live reviews since it had really taken over and away from enjoying themselves as a couple during the cruise, or something along those lines.
  3. We got ours changed no issues when on board. I was worried for nothing, all worked out fine.
  4. Agree, everyone knows the risks of not being back to the ship on time and that is why picking the right excursion or staying with a NCL excursion is so important. Couple blames NCL when they should be blaming the private tour operator. Everyone is a victim these days with no personal accountability.
  5. Thanks. Sorry, did not see the other post. I would have thought a travel agent would have posted a video by now. Or even another traveler. Have it booked for an upcoming cruise, and want to set expectations for our party on who goes in which room. I get the master of course!
  6. Anyone see any actual pictures/videos of the premiere owners suite on the Joy after dry dock? Not the stock pictures from NCL. Looking specifically for the new additional bedroom and full bath for that room.
  7. If it was The Rebel Yell going to JVD, that is worth getting up any time for! Our favorite excursion that we do every time and would not miss it! Definitely worth the early rise!
  8. People onboard Joy and Encore reporting the Haven started charging $25 for any extra lobster tails this week. Anything more than the one that came with the meal. I do feel that sometimes people who would not think to order 4 or more lobster tails do it because of things they see online. And then it winds up forcing policy changes. We’ve had some amazing things done for our family in the Haven that I would never ever disclose on social media because everyone would ask/expect it.
  9. We are the opposite, we have only cruised NCL because of the free style dining. Trying our first Carnival cruise and already worried it is a mistake. We are waitlisted for YTD, but the only option we had was late time seating, which for a variety of personal reasons does not work for us. I have called a few times each week to see if we got off the waitlist, so far no. This is literally keeping me up at night and makes me really miss NCL.
  10. The cabanas will be available to book for the week for everyone about 4 weeks prior to the cruise. For just a day, you have to do that onboard and hope they aren’t sold out. I’m told during busy times like summer and spring break, they typically sell out.
  11. That is not how it was explained to me. One time I accidentally turned my points into free play on the machine by hitting a wrong button and was told because I did that was SOL. Usually the shops close at 11, which is the stressful part. They typically say to stop back the last night late. So at 10 or so I do, and they do some sort of calculation, and say go spend x amount charge it to my room, come back with the receipt, and they take it off the bill. But it is hard to spend that much in a short period of time knowing that they are closing, at least for me. It would be easier to just have charges to apply them against already on my account, we just never do. It is always a lot more, several hundred dollars more, than what the free play amount is. Except for the time I turned it into free play in the middle of the cruise, amount was significantly less.
  12. I always come ahead taking the comps versus free play. And I was told by a host that they will sometimes do it automatically especially if on a casino comp cruise. But if you took the free play that could explain why that didn’t happen. Usually, we don’t have any charges on our bill to comp, so I am typically sent to the gift shop/jewelry/cosmetic store which is always fun!
  13. If you didn’t turn your points into free play, they will still be there. Check in with the host at the beginning of your next cruise, and they can possibly move them to your current one. But if you turned them into free play on the cruise, they are gone. To get charges wiped off your bill, never convert to free play.
  14. So Deluxe owners suite is 3 bottles, Garden villa is 6. What about the Premier owners suite? Seems like it would be in between these 2 categories.
  15. The excursions will pick you up at TB too, it is wherever the ship docks at.
