  1. A lot of info here too. https://tokyocheapo.com/business/internet/buying-sim-card-in-tokyo/
  2. If you buy a suitable unlocked refurbed phone , check here https://www.frequencycheck.com/country-compatibility/MnNRM/japan/devices it will come without SIM or contract. MOBAL will provide the SIM card and short term contract and tel No, delivered to you before departure (if time) or pick up in Japan, only activated when you need it. For your stated requirements you would pick the 30 day Voice+Data SIM on the earlier web site I mentioned and click on more details, read it all, all the info is there and in the FAQ's
  3. I would investigate this web site thoroughly. Sim cards can be bought. https://www.mobal.com/japan-sim-card/?t=st&/ I would also suggest buying a refurbished cheap unlocked smartphone say from amazon before departure.
  4. When did OBC supposedly stop ? Last month I booked three 2025 cruises direct with a UK Celebrity agent, Millenium (11 nights), Ascent (11 nights), Silhouette (12 nights) all in standard verandas and got $200 OBC for each cruise.
  5. Got our notification for September in the Med, reduced some port visits by just 30 mins.
  6. I don't book suites and have a dedicated cruise planner that I always book with and have done for over 10 years (the same one). I have their email address and direct dial phone number they are based in Weybridge along with the rest of the UK planners.
  7. and maybe Valencia, Cadiz and Casablanca, 100's of years of history
  8. For years I could not see why so many Brits loved going to the Canary Islands then did a cruise there and could see why. We don't sunbathe at all and don't like beach holidays but there is so much else to see and do on the Islands especially the geology of the places. Cruises from Southampton usually go to Madeira and Lisbon but I believe the Barcelona cruises are shorter and go to Casablanca and maybe Cadiz, definitely worth considering.
  9. Just take a photocopy of your passport or photo on your phone, they can easily be checked as valid if there's an issue. If an actual passport is required Celebrity will make that clear for the rare ports where it is definitely required.
  10. This is exactly what happened to us in March this year. As well as the new sea pass cards which you will need to get back on board so take them with you, you will get a "magic" card that allows to use a fast channel to board whenever you do return bypassing the others checking in.
  11. THat very much depends on where you are, humidy and angle of the sun, sorry but the rooms can become very suffocating, not always but dont give misleading advice, only give the fact that it didn't for you.
  12. Sadly no. It's no longer on the always available list. It wasn't available last night and not on the menu tonight. It's a case of get it while you can. You could always try asking off menu of course.
  13. We are currently on Silhouette and left just before you.
  14. We are also on this cruise, so looking back towards you in Ryde and then later towards the south of the Island.
