Ditto advice to have a copy of passport. If lost you will need number and expiration of it to complete full app for new temp passport including new photo. Don’t expect any phone help from embassy. Must use State Dept website (voluminous) for app and instructions, bring app and get to embassy an hour before opening if major city. Works fine if you have everything exactly right. Other ID irrelevant. From London experience.

Today my long time physician declined to prescribe Paxlovid “in case I need it” for my upcoming cruise. He said it’s not authorized under current protocols (rules?) unless to treat existing diagnosed disease.

But do you get air credit for DIY air if you do “cruise only”? On upcoming cruise I did Olife, declined air, got $1000 air credit plus the 10 excursions (worth maybe $1500). That $2500 exceeds the difference in fare for Olife vs cruise only ($1700 for PH). what am I missing?

I mean $10k pp cancellation insurance. Also delay, luggage, some medical (especially Reserve).

Check out Chase Saphire cards. I no longer need to buy cancellation ins because it’s included ($10 pp— anything more I self insure). There is Sapphire Preferred @$95/yr, or Sapphire Reserve @$550/yr. Reserve has many advantages if you travel much and pays for itself.

One reason I book concierge is access to spa terrace with small quieter outdoor space with full forward views and big jacuzzi type pool. Some may not be interested, but it is one difference with concierge.

See “travel and entry requirements” under plan your cruise. It WAS under the Sail Safe” heading but now in travel and entry requirements. I guess a bit of O messaging confusion about this change. In addition to exceptions for embarking from Greece , cruise destination can affect requirement.
