Goodbye, Lexar...

Might want to start scanning the usual outlets for sales. Micron just announced that they are shutting down the Lexar brand. All of the readers, cards and flash drives will be discontinued and the Lexar brand will be gone.

There's a decent chance someone will pick up the brand but who knows if manufacturing will be the same. I'm normally a SanDisk or Sony person (SDXC and XQD respectively) but will see if some deals pop up. What I will miss are their secure thumb drives which I use for business.

Of all my media cards that failed within weeks of purchase..... Lexar is #1. I'm not going to miss them.

Virtually no customer service, not really a surprise.
