Does anyone know if I purchase the non alcoholic refreshment package, and I decide to get an alcoholic drink if they would only charge me for only the alcohol in the drink since I prepaid for the non alcohol portion.

As I think I'd get use of the refreshment package but I don't drink too much.

Easy - Assuming that you're not referring to cocktails, you just order your alcoholic drink and mixer separately, and mix it yourself.

If I am understanding this "solution" (no pun intended) correctly, the person would order a straight shot and a non-alcoholic mixer is that correct?

If so, we are assuming that straight shot is going to be cheaper than ordering the same spirit in a mixed drink. I'd ask that first to be sure.

Yeah, I KNOW this is "nitpicky" but we are talking about a cruise ship here and we know the fuel they actually run on is not diesel.

Is it possible to take water bottles on checked in baggage?

Also, I cant the option to book surf only package online. It only shows surf and stream package.

Yes.

It's been that way for a while - Surf only is only available on the ship (at higher prices).

It is important to visit the RC website to check on the status of your RC sailing as the Cruise Line has the right to charter your cruise.

Notification from RC that your sailing is a charter can take more than a month after a sailing appears as "sold out" or is removed from inventory entirely.

Yes, but you will want to wait till RCI officially notifies you since that is when they provide compensation - if you cancel before they notify you, you might miss out on the compensation.

They will charge you the difference between the package allowance (I think $4 for refreshment) and the price of the drink +18% grats. So on a typical $12 drink, you'll pay $9.44 ($8+$1.44).

There is no package allowance in the refreshment package. If you order a drink not covered by Refreshment, you pay full price.

Coco Cay News

According to today's press release concerning RCCL's agreement with the Bahamian government: "the cruise line confirmed plans for a significant investment in major enhancements to CocoCay – its private island destination in The Bahamas – which will include the construction of a pier, additional guest features and amenities, and new opportunities for vendors and craftsmen to promote the culture of The Bahamas to visitors."

"Will include", however, doesn't give a time frame or the type of pier, so it's still tenders susceptible to wind and weather for the time being.

Just found this in Australian terms and conditions ... No more compulsory gratuities ???

22. Service Charge

For bookings created prior to 11 December 2016, if you have not pre-paid the service charge at time of booking, Royal Caribbean will add a daily service charge amount of US$13.50 (US$16.50 for suite guests) to each guest’s onboard SeaPass? account. If you wish to have these removed, please contact the Guest Services Desk onboard.

For bookings created from 12 December 2016 onwards for cruises departing 15 January 2017 onwards, onboard service charges for stateroom attendants and dining room staff are included in your voyage fare.

Please note: An 18% service charge will be automatically added to beverages, mini bar items, spa and salon purchases. Royal Caribbean reserves the right to adjust the recommended daily service charge amounts.

Not getting any benefit for what you spend shopping, gambling, speciality dinners, excursions is not good. Casinos take into account what the "whales" total spend is.

Even at the top tier cabin you are maxed out on any additional benefits. I can spend 2x plus a like cabin and get no additiobal perks no benefits

They do not allow guests to bring any bottled water, soda, beer or hard liquor on board. Guests are allowed to bring two 750ml bottles of champagne or wine per stateroom. It is also my understanding that if you purchase liquor while at port, the cruise line will store it for you until the end of the cruise.

I am new to Royal Caribbean.... how much water and soda can you bring on board? And can you bring bottles or cans? Thanks

We just booked a junior suite on Liberty of the Seas...any idea if there are any perks? I know we dont get full suite perks but thought I saw something about our luggage being delivered early and maybe getting off early at the end our cruise?

The things you get from RC for a Junior Suite is a larger room and balcony, sometimes a chaise lounge chair on the balcony, nicer bathroom with tub, walk in closet, more storage, upgraded amenities such as shampoo, hand lotion.... You also get a coffeemaker in your room. You do not get the access to things the other suite guests are privileged to. Ive never had my luggage delivered early when we were in a Junior Suite. Actually, anyone can get off early if they are willing to carry their own luggage. Its called the "Self Assist" plan. Depending on your level of loyalty (Diamond, Emerald.....) you can also get off the ship earlier, but Im not sure about a Junior Suite being included in this.

Does these need to be in your hand luggage or main baggage?
