Zoo in Nassau Bahamas

As anyone been to the Zoo in Nassau?

Sure. It's a small zoo but fun for a couple of hours, especially if you feed the lorry parrots. You can combine a stop here with Fort Charlotte or lunch at the Fish Fry.

Ardastra Gardens and Zoo is a relaxing little zoo with good walking paths and a Marching Flamingo show.

We enjoyed it for 2 hours or so.

Could you tell me how far it is from the port? Did you walk or take a taxi? Thanks.

It's about a mile and a half from port. You can walk it or take a taxi or take the #10 bus. If you take the bus, ask to get off at the Fish Fry.

Thanks for the info. I will have my two grands with me and we are all ok with walking. Has anyone walked that can tell me how the surroundings are in the area. Would it be a safe walk? I have walked to Junkanoo many times and felt safe, and to the Queens stair case and fort, but have never been to the zoo. Thanks for any info.
