But pretty sure Regent do not do 6 day cruises & they do not have formal nights

The OP is from the UK, and Navigator OTS is sailing out of the UK this season.

Check on the RCI page- we had formal nights on another RCI ship out of the UK, and many people dressed up, but not all. It wasn't as formal as, say, P&O or other British managed ships.
