Do cruise passengers have to check in together?

Check with the line as policies may vary, but in the past my roomie and I were traveling to the ship separately and arriving at significantly different times. We checked in and boarded separately from each other.

NO, you don't have to check in together. However, the 1st to arrive should have whatever form of payment will be used, unless each person is paying their own way...then there is no issue at all.

Not entirely true...they can checkin using the cash option and once onboard it can be changed to what ever form or whose ever card they decide to use. Each must have their own SeaPass printed out to check in separately ...this is no problem at all and done often.
