Most scenic drive to Peggy's Cove from the port in Halifax?

We are renting a van. Which drive will be the best for scenery? Thanks!

Just drive a different route there and back - I'd recommend the more direct route on the way there and not stopping en route (approx 45mins without traffic). If you can get to Peggy's Cove before all those annoying tourists start rolling in by the busload you may actually be able to take some pictures and enjoy walking around rather than fighting your way through crowds and having to extensively edit picks to remove the hordes.

Then return via Tantallon, where there are a few more nice villages up the coast (a little over and hour without traffic), and if you have time and want to see even more coastline continue south on 253/349/306 to Ketch Harbour and loop back for another hour-and-a-quarter-ish trip.

Some locals like Maryann may have some more-specific bits of road that are even more scenic, the above was our choice of routes as visitors (and we made sure not to visit PC on a day when any cruise ships were in Halifax!)
