Featherdale wildlife park

So we are getting a rental car in Sydney and heading to the Blue Mountains for a couple days. My question, is the park on the route to the Blue Mountains?

Sort of. The motorway to the Blue Mountains is the M4.To get to Featherdale you would need to exit the M4 at Reservoir Rd (Blacktown) turning right after the exit. Follow Reservoir Rd which will change name to Balmoral Rd at the intersection of Bungarribee Rd. Then take the second left into Kildare Rd (opposite the Blacktown Shopping Mall). Featherdale is on the right along Kildare Rd.

After visiting Featherdale, retrace your steps to the M4 to continue up to the Blue Mountains.
