kroberts0525 Posted July 12, 2017 #1 Share Posted July 12, 2017 We are travelling from Boston to Montreal on HA, departing August 12. In past cruises, one of our favorite activities was to simply hire a driver at the port and have him/her show us around. For instance, in Jamaica we once hired a driver who took us on a delightful four hour journey, complete with our elementary aged children leaving their email addresses so that they could correspond with our driver's young children. I was hoping I might be able to find an arrangement like this in Halifax and PEI but now that the departure date is approaching I am getting nervous. Will we be able to find someone or should I look into the large bus tours?
JoyMouse Posted July 13, 2017 #2 Share Posted July 13, 2017 They may be booked, but it's worth asking. We used this company in Charlottetown http://www.duncansislandtours.ca/ and this company http://www.halifaxtaxitours.com/ for Halifax in September 2015. Both were very good tours with minivans. maryann ns Posted July 13, 2017 #3 Share Posted July 13, 2017 For Halifax see post #6 here: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=2511478 If you send me a private message and include your email address I will send you notes I have gathered here and on Trip Advisor over the years about taxis and private tour operators for Halifax. Go to the Trip Advisor Nova Scotia forum and you will find me with the same name and avatar. Click on it and you can send a private message. https://www.tripadvisor.ca/ShowForum-g154967-i326-Nova_Scotia.html
