Ships that have left or soon will leave the RCI fleet?

Recommended Posts

Which ships have left Royal and still sail under different brands and which ships will leave Royal in the nearby future?

I know that:

Splendour of the Seas now sail as TUI Discovery.

Legend Of The Seas now sail as TUI Discovery 2.

Monarch Of The Seas now sail as Pullmantur Monarch

Sovereign Of The Seas now sail as Pullmantur Sovereign

Empress Of The Seas left for Pullmantur but are now back in the Royal fleet.

I am booked for 2018 And 2019!! :o

Well, if it gets sold before that, I can deal with RCI comping me the Royal suite on another ship for replacement. ;p:p

Don't stay up all night waiting to get comped! They usually give credit or refund. Maybe a small OBC IF YOU REBOOK WITHIN A CERTAIN PERIOD OF TIME. The Equinox did this when they canceled all booked Europe summer cruises and brought The ship to Miami.

Song of Norway, Sun Viking and Nordic Prince sailed for many years under different names but are all out of service now.

Song of Norway was the first ship I ever cruised. Was supposed to be on Monarch, but under construction - it burned 12 desks and Norway was pulled into service until Monarch could launch. I liked that ship, albeit small and older. It was fun, and small enough to meet most people on the ship.

Strange how I really miss Monarch but can't wait for Majesty to be retired. Not sure what the difference is to me since they are the same ship. Never missed Sovereign either. Loved Monarch, probably due to crew, John Denton, and Marc Walker.

Actually they will usually price protect you on a few sailings and also offer some OBC. I don't call $200 for a balcony or $400 for a suite a small or insignificant amount of OBC.

I think it's time to move one of my bookings to a far out Rhapsody cruise and see what happens.

Song of America sails as Celestial Olympia.

Hi,

The Song of Norway and Nordic Prince have been scrapped, but the former Sun Viking is still around. I saw the former Sun Viking (now named the Oriental Dragon) in Hong Kong in April 2017. It now operates as a casino ship (it didn't look very well maintained but it still has the Viking Crown Lounge). This was the first Royal Caribbean ship that I cruised aboard (back in 1983).

Let the games begin:halo: I have been redeployed from the RH a couple of times now

Somehow I thought it was more than a couple, oh wait that was the Brilliance or was it the Vision.

You know that some people set a goal to actually sail on every ship in the fleet, not to get redeployed off them.:D:halo:
