Easiest way from Port Everglades to Miami when doing 2 cruises.

Recommended Posts

Hello Everyone.

We are booked on Allure in September and thinking of getting off her and one day later doing a cruise on Enchantment from Miami. Has anyone done anything like this and can advise the easiest way to get between the two places, I am fine driving but just wondered if there was any sort of shuttle. Tia.

We've rented cars many times from Budget in both Fort Lauderdale and Miami. You can take the Budget shuttle from Port Everglades to the Fort Lauderdale airport (skip the office on 17th Street -- it will be too crowded). Then you'll have a car for running errands as well as driving down to Miami. There's a Budget office in the downtown/Brickell neighborhood where you can return the car either that day or the next (but check to make sure it's open if it's Sunday). Budget doesn't offer a shuttle to the Port of Miami, but you can take a short cab ride there.

We have used Uber from fll to MIA and reverse

Flawless service. Both times half the cost of taxi.

Far less hassle than shuttle bus.

Rent a car if you want to make a day of fun stops and sightseeing

You don't need to rent a car. Use an Uber or contact SAS. We have used SAS and they are excellent. They have always been on time and will also pick you up at the cruise ship to return you to the airport. Only $15/person each way.

If you book a hotel in downtown Miami you can get around on their free "People Mover". We usually stay at the Marriott at Biscayne Bay - our favorite!
