Your Experiences with Bringing Wine Onboard

You can now bring on board 1 bottle per person. The special event on our last cruise was a tasting and lunch at a winery. Many people purchased wine and I think they just brought it back to their rooms as I did not see anybody having their bottles taken for storage. I didn't buy any so I don't know for sure.

I think the corkage fee is still $15 if you bring the wine to the dining room, but they will store the unused portion for you. No charge if you consume the wine in your room.

It used to be unlimited wine to bring on board - One time we stopped at a french wine store in St Maarten and picked up a case to bring on board. On subsequent cruises, we decided that the wine was reasonably priced and why bother. On our last cruise we did bring 2 bottles on board that I had purchased while on a food tour in Rome before our cruise began.

The wine is reasonably priced on board as you said, but we can't resist bringing French wine on board when we are in St Barts. We have bought some really nice wine at 5 euros, and you can bring on board 2 bottles per person, per day. Corkage is $15.

Has anyone had experience with bringing spirits (whiskey, vodka) onboard at embarkation? I'm aware of the policy that allows 2 bottles of wine or champagne per cabin, but my dad isn't a wine fan and I was hoping to bring on a nice bottle of scotch if that's allowed.
