Currency for stops in Norwegian Fjords

Hi, Does anyone know if euros or US Dollars are accepted or just Krone?

When I went this June I was told only NOK so didn't take any euros. I think the exchange rate was better if you got NOK.

This is what I have always found, some shops will take Euro at a poor exchange rate, best to get them before you cruise as the exchange rate on the ship tends to be poor

We have just returned from a Fjords cruise and whilst we did take NK we were able to use our Halifax Clarity card everywhere - in cafés, shops, Hoho etc. with near perfect exchange rates. This meant we didn't need to have much cash and used the CC to preserve cash for places where it may not be accepted. We reverted to paying cash in the last couple of days to get rid of our currency. But I would agree, get NK if you want cash, as the exchange rate into Euro etc isn't great.

We needed coins to use the toilets in Stavanger. Worth trying to get a few at the beginning of the cruise.

For they who visit Olden,most of the shops accept Euro,Dollar and Pund ( bills only,no coins )....but please remember your exchange will be in Norwegian Kroner :)
