Bon Voyage Sea Princess WORLD CRUISE 2017

Recommended Posts

Thanks for the update. You really are on top of the World . :)

Have been following on the bridge cam and it looks very tranquil up there in the Land of the Midnight Sun. Does it get dark at all ?

The sun rose on 14 May and will set on 29 July. It is a lovely sunny day here. Best weather we have had in Norway.

In Tromso.

Yesterday lovely time visiting picturesque fishing villages in Lofoten Islands.

Cool here, and only a few light drops of rain.

Nice town.

Honningsvag tomorrow for a North Cape visit for many.

All good onboard.

After tomorrow ( 70 degrees north ) start heading home.

Sounds nice, thanks for update. We will be up that way next July on Adonia.;)

Indeed, first time I heard of Tim Hortons was in Vancouver in 2006, we were coming back from a day trip from Whistler. The bus driver said .'We all going to see Timmy Horton.' I thought...'What the?' Next minute we pull into his roadside diner, serving coffee, donuts and everything else in the healthy food line, lol.

Tim Hortons is big in Canada, Timmy did well after ice hockey.:p

I didn't know he was a real person. However, bus stops were often at Tim Hortons in small town Canada. Better than waiting in the cold.

Hope passengers enjoy Halifax, their only Canadian port of call.

I must say that the coffee there is much better than at Starbucks.

Oh yes Marion... Tim Horton is Canada's 'Don Bradman.' (of the ice hockey variety.) Yes I am sure the world cruisers will enjoy Halifax, friendly town.:halo:

From memory it was Uncle Mic, probably cheaper too. We might see Joanne and Garry having a Timmy's on their blog. As they do. Most coffee is better than Princess coffee as we know. So experienced cruisers often make a good coffeehouse their first stop off the ship.

That and the WIFI and clean toilets if you have a mid morning stop.

Indeed Uncle Mic. Many tour buses now have free Wi Fi.:p Most have toilet too and some even have coffee, particularly in the 'Land of the Free.'

I don't mind coach tours but only if the toilet is only used for emergencies. Coffee is good but having it on board may well cause more emergencies than without it.

Halifax, as was mentioned very interesting military & nautical history here.

Cool and light drizzle this morning, but clearing now.

Both stops in Iceland were great, and we had great guides in our private tour vans.

Interesting learning the history and geothermal, seismic facts.

All good here, NYC Thurs & Fri.

Sounds like you are having a wonderful time. An overnight in NYC is very special - enjoy your cruise in and out. I hope you will be berthed in Manhattan, with just a walk up the street to Broadway.
