Helicopter or Float plane in Denali

I am doing a seven day cruise, followed by a 4 day Land tour. Are there opportunities for a float plane/helicopter ride there, especially to see glaciers? Or is this really only a Ketchikan etc. thing to do?

No there aren't any float planes at Denali. There is also Juneau for float planes. Being they are very different, taking both is certainly worthwhile..

I was trying for an float plane excursion not through the cruise lines so might still try for Ketchikan. I appreciate the Juneau website info. We have the longest day in Juneau so was trying to see if float plane was doable there. Thanks Budget Queen

I did a plane with a glacier landing at Denali. We landed near the base after trying from several directions to get a view of the peak. It was just too obstructed by clouds. Anyway, the pilot pointed out the various mountains as we flew, and pointed in one direction nearer to Healy and the airport as where the helicopters land. It seemed to me they do not actually travel toward Denali; but I did not ask any clarifying questions.

Details, many helicopter tours go to Yanert Icefield. There are also ski planes you can book which could also be of interest, if you haven't flown in one.
