The Reunion cruise has a few extra night themes but for everything else it's country club causal as a minimum after 6pm, on Polynesian night they encourage Polynesian attire.

No, there no "dress up" nights on any of their cruises. If one chooses to wear a pareo or something similar on Polynesia night, it's up to you (the dining room is decorated and the food theme is Polynesian) . This is one of PG's charms and makes packing so much easier.

I just wear a colorful floral top. They give you a garland or hei for your hair if you want and that is polynesian enough!

The first time I did this cruise in 2000, I wore a pareo on Polynesian night. Seventeen years later, there's no way I would do that. It's a low-keyed thing, and there are, as Emdee says, opportunities to make your own garlands and wear them, if you wish.
