Wind Surf Deck Plan: Stars or Squares

First posting, so hope I'm not asking a no-brainer. Our stateroom for the Wind Surf in December (cabin 302) has a square next to the room number. Other rooms "have stars on thars." ;) Anyone know what's up with the square? Thanks!

Not sure where you're seeing this. 302 and 301 are a bit of a different shape. None of the deck plans I have contain either symbol.

Just saw the deck plan on Cruise Critic. Is that where you are looking? I think it has to do with configuration or accessibility.

Looking at Windstar's site, they do not have those marks on their website so Windstar probably won't know what Cruise Critic's marks mean. However, I think looking at the 2 I figured it out. The square means queen size bed only, no twin bed option. And the star means a 3rd berth is available. This is from Windstar's deck plans. BTW - loved the Dr Suess reference

Staterooms with 3rd Berths:

117–139; all suites (excluding 501)

Staterooms with One Queen

Size Bed Only (no twin option):

101, 102, 157, 301-304

I do like looking at deck plans. Big key to picking the right cabin. Anyway, have fun on the Wind Surf. It is a beautiful ship and the crew is fantastic.

BTW - If any cruise line names a ship the SS Minnow, me and my "lovie" are so on it :D
