GulfStream Park

In addition to checking TripAdvisor, I'm interested in knowing if any cruisers have visited Gulfstream Park or Village of during your pre or post stay. It apparently has many options for a diverse group.

Currently planning for a small group late Saturday night out and want to do something other than Las Olas as we will do that and the beach Friday.

Thanks in advance...:D

My condo is two blocks away from Gulfstream Park. There are plenty of restaurants at the facility and live racing is Wednesday to Sunday until I believe mid April. My family likes the Yard House for sandwiches and drinks and I was just there last Thursday night. There is also a bowling alley and shops like Crate and Barrel on the property. There are plans to also build a hotel and condos in the near future. The place has definitely grown since I started to visit the area thirty years ago.

I've been to Gulfstream several times, as Corby114 says, the casino is kind of Meh, and while the ponies will be running on 6/17 (guessing the date from your sig) remember that live racing takes place in the afternoon, from around 1:00 to 6:00 or so. If you want to bet on the west coast tracks, they have a good simulcasting facility.

Dania JaiAlai has live games in the evening through Jun 30. I believe they start at 8:00 pm every evening.

And if you've never seen Jai alai, it's an exciting different thing to watch. Especially the locals attending.:D

We've visited Gulfstream a couple of times and enjoyed eating there and having a little slot fun when staying pre-cruise at the Crowne Plaza at Hallandale/Hollywood Beach. Even took the city bus once. There is a water taxi stop right at the hotel as well.
