The Canal has inked a deal to construct a cruise terminal at Ft. Amador. This will eliminate the need for tendering for ships making a port call on the Pacific side of the Canal.

The Canal has also made some adjustments to the toll structure that went into effect April 2016. Not to worry the changes are mostly for container ships and other types of cargo ships. The toll for cruise ships is unchanged at $148 per passenger berth for ships using the new locks and $138ppb for ships using the old locks, so you won't have to dig any deeper than you already have!.
