$70 a day on drinks?! OMG! That's why I still have to believe the AIBP is a complete waste of money. Three or four drinks a day one at a time for under $40 is not as convenient, but not only saves the destruction of your wallet, but your liver as well... Otherwise, two or three CruiseCaddys with a liberal amount of your favorite whiskey, rum of poisons of choice in your luggage is the way I'd go (and did).

Never purchased the package at the old price and certainly won't at the new price. Will gladly take Sip and Sail promos though. Have the package on all of our upcoming cruises. Booked two under the promo last year (28 day and 14 day) and two (49 day broken into 19 day and a 30 day legs) under the promo this year.

We have our two upcoming cruises booked under the Sip & Sail promo which is good for us since we always bought the AIBP. :D

Now that the price of the new PDP is $68.99 not so sure we'll do that after our next two.

It may be worth it for my husband ... but not for me.

There will be more sharing and abuse at $69.00/day.

Unless you are on the board nobody really knows why Princess implemented the hugh price increase. To say it's due to sharing is mere speculation. I think the price increase will only encourage sharing even if it's only on soft drinks and coffees etc.

You've got that right as well as a big increase in smuggling.

I've got my RumRunners ready to travel. :D;p;p

The Medallions won't make any difference in sharing since only the person who pays has to get the drinks anyway. I'm sure they'll max out the 15 drinks per day now. ;)

Reading the terms and conditions the 15 drink max is at discretion of Managment.

I don't think this is fair for people who already are booked, it should be on new bookings. I purposely picked princess because it didnt have a limit on # of drinks (now they changed that to 15) and the price seemed decent.

Boooo

As far as I know if you have already purchased the package the price will not go up.

Are you aging that you do not think it is fair that you have to pay the higher price at a future date on a cruise that you previously booked and did not already purchased the package?

I thought that as well. However, if you read the sentence after that, it says that drinks after your fifteen are charged at the regular rate. The discretion part is to make sure you're not too "over served" to have another.

Have to love the increase in AIBP, it certainly is not from higher costs for the liquor Princess buys, I bet the volume of alcohol and beer that they purchase through their contact is extremely minimal, just came off the Island Princess in Alaska and had no problems with our Sip and Sail, might have come close to the fifteen limit a couple of days, we are Elite status but see the services and other things like entertainment slipping, went to the casino every night and was not approached by the wait staff to take a drink order, one night my wife finally asked for a bottle of water and I said where have you been for over 1-1/2 hrs, and she said she is the only one working that area, now that’s great service, so when we pay our gratuities, it is supposed to be for exemplary service, won’t rag on with other issues, I’m sure someone will

We were on the Emerald for 2 weeks in August. We did feel that the price of drinks have risen. It was about $9 for a martini. But after having the S&S in Mexico last fall, we have no interest in the promotion even if it's given to us.
