Tango lesson in Buenos Aires

I've read some of the threads about group tango lessons, milongas, and tango shows in Buenos Aires. They have been very helpful! I'm left with a few questions:

1) Are any of the tango lessons in English? If so, how could I locate them?

2) As a ballroom dancer, I have taken a few Argentine tango classes in the US and have found that it is an extremely challenging dance to learn. Yet I have read that visitors can take a group tango class before a milonga and then practice at the milonga. Has anyone actually done this? Can you really learn enough in one group class to get out on the dance floor?

Thanks for your help!
