Brussels Airlines

Wondered if anyone has flown this airline. We opted to do our own air for an October cruise our TA booked through Air Canada, the Brussels Airlines flight is a codeshare flight. We are booked in business class Toronto to Brussels but are not able to access seat selection until check in, has anyone run into this before?

We always run into this on Air Canada and while we cannot book seats online, we can when we call them. Have you tried calling them?

Called Air Canada, they said cannot assign seats on codeshare flight, I will try to get hold of someone at Brussels Air.
