Just Booked - Should reservation be "on Hold"?

Just booked this AM and did manage to get into the X site, but my reservation status shows "On Hold" for 24 hours. Is this normal? I'm used to seeing "Confirmed.":confused:

I have had that happen for up to a day after I have booked / confirmed and paid for the cruise. Do you have a confirmation or invoice from the cruise line or TA? Has your credit card been charged? Give it 24 hours.

Agree - Once one of my reservations said On Hold for days (I'm going to guess it was about 4 days), but all was ok and it eventually changed to Booked.

Also, there's been a few times where several weeks/months after booking, the status changed from Booked to On Hold. When I contacted my travel agent, they said not to worry. It only lasted a day or two. (I think most of the time it would fluctuate between the On Hold and Booked status when I was paying for a Guarantee room, so there might be a correlation there).

The Hold is removed when Celebrity receives the deposit payment.
