Cycling in Puerto Madryn, Chile

We will be in Puerto Madryn, Chile on a cruise in February 2018. We are not interested in an excursion to Punta Tombo, Peninsula Valdes or the Welsh towns. Has anyone hired bikes and ridden around Puerto Madryn or out to Punta Loma? Was it easy to find bikes to hire, how long did it take to ride to Punta Loma and how was the ride?

Thanks in advance for your thoughts and advice.

Interesting idea of something different to....but I did a little research and found it is a dirt/sandy road with challenging hills. This report gives great information if you haven't found it yet. http://www.thetravelchica.com/2011/12/puerto-madryn-argentina-sea-lions-punta-loma/

Thank you Wayfairers. This is great information that I hadn't found. It looks like the ride is quite a challenge. Thanks for taking the time to do some research, it is much appreciated.
