is Hilton penn station still a good hotel for post cruise to stay at ?

have stayed before and took NJ tranist subway to 911 memorial

The Hilton Penn Station is still a good hotel for a post cruise stay.

For other readers the "NJ transit subway" you mention is called PATH and takes you to the World Trade Center in downtown NY. http://www.panynj.gov/path/maps-schedules.html

To go to midtown NY you take the NJ Transit train to New York Penn Station. http://www.njtransit.com/pdf/rail/Rail_System_Map.pdf

Convenience of the hotel to the PATH is the major plus. But, there seem to be a number of less than stellar qualities also. Read reviews on TripAdvisor, etc and decide.

thanks will check it out

I had a good experience at the Robert Treat. The Newark Courtyard downtown is another option. Both have airport shuttles. The Robert Treat will shuttle you to and from the train station. But it's still Newark, so you might want to take a cheap cab from the station back to these other hotels.

We stayed there a few years ago, it it right across from the train station, we were in Manahatten very quickly- for location it was fantastic- we were only in the room to sleep. Easy ride to Bayonne. Take the trip advisor reviews with a grain of salt.

We have enjoyed the Radisson Martinique...a quick easy walk to Penn Station and in a great area of Herald Square.

Your hotel is in Manhattan. This thread is discussing hotels near Newark Penn Station in Newark, NJ.

The OP is cruising from Cape Liberty in NJ and wants a post cruise hotel near that port.
