Has anyone arranged an early morning private transfer to pick up 4 adults at Cruise Port Terminal for Paul Gauguin and transport to FAA Int. Airport? We have a 7:30AM Air France Flt. back to US. Either private transfer company or taxi that would be guaranteed to meet us at 5A. Suggestions, approx cost, referral companies..... Thanks!

Paul Gauguin should be able to arrange this for you, if you are travelling with them why try to save a buck or two by using a "private" service?

You ask why...... because that is what we normally do when cruising. We arrange our own airfare, transfers and shore excursions. 99% of the time it works out to our benefit.

However in this circumstance of needing pick up from a small cruise Port very early in the morning, I agree it is best to defer to PG to assure a taxi arrives at the time we need it.

You gotta be out of your mind to book this yourself. The ship will make your arrangements it will cost but more reliable

I’m have no idea who you are Acrusa or what rock you crawled out from..... truly no need to be so rude or sarcastic on these Boards which are meant for information and suggestions. I am not out of my mind I can assure you, again no need to be so nasty. Replies like yours are unwarranted and unkind.

We are used to booking our own transit arrangements and have never had issues but in this specific situation we took the recommendations of others on this thread and had PG book a taxi to pick us up at the Pier. It all worked out well except for the downpour of rain as we exited the ship.

The $15 fee charged by PG was nominal for the convenience. We were a party of 4 adults needing transit during the higher priced night time rates and the Taxi company charged us $40 USD for the brief 10 min ride to airport in a SUV.

End of story!

We are going on the PG in January and booked the Air France flight that departs in the morning as well. Did you have PG arrange the taxi before you departed on the cruise? What time did you disembark? I heard the airport can be hectic and I want to make sure that we allow plenty of time.

Thanks!

Longhorn 5,

PG will require you to provide your disembarkation info to them and if you want them to arrange a taxi for you the morning of your departure they will confirm with you how many are in your party, luggage pieces and what time you want to be picked up. You will give them your info within about 2 day’s after you board and PG will return a confirmation of this to your cabin prior to end of cruise.

Our AF flight departed at 7:30am and we had our Taxi waiting for us at the dock for 5A.

It was a quick 10 min ride to airport and we got there in plenty enough time. We had no lines to wait in at the AF desk, we were processed quickly and thru Security with no delays at all.

We were in Business so we were able to utilize the Business Lounge shared in airport by both AF and Air Tahiti Nui.

PG will send you color coded luggage tags for your departure time from the ship. It all went smoothly.

We had a fabulous 1st cruise with PG and I am confident you will too!
