"Free" hotel

Well, just saying. If Regent is going to put you up in a hotel as part of the Regent package their is no reason the hotel isn't a good hotel. Regent has people that book these rooms and they should know what they are booking. After all it's Regentthat's making the choice for you and they should be caring where they put their customers. I just pulled up Google maps and looked at the two properties - they're just down the road from each other...but according to the links to Hotels.com, there's about a 50% price increase to stay in the Dan Carmel. Guess we got lucky. :D

For future cruisers, that 50% price increase is money well spent! If Regent had enough money to weigh the Explorer down with a football field's worth of marble, surely they could afford an even slightly better hotel.

Been at both in Haifa. Hands down it's the Dan Carmel.
