Just Booked Silversea Cloud Expedition Cruise

We just booked an Antarctica expedition cruise on Silversea for February, 2018. They are refurbishing the Cloud to an all-suite luxury expedition ship. This 10 day itinerary is from Ushuaia to Ushuaia and does not include the Falkland Islands, which I understand are amazing but I can't take that much time off for a much longer cruise. Prior to this Silversea had the Explorer ship in Antarctica which is also being revamped. There is very little on these boards about Silversea Expeditions in Antarctica so if anyone has been on an Antarctica cruise with Silversea I would love to hear how your experience was.

Hi Carol,

We just booked the Silver Explorer for January 2019! 12 days Ushuaia - Ushuaia.

The Explorer just went through dry dock and it is hard to get any pictures or information but I do know that they increased from 132 passengers to 144.

I guess I will be the one learning from you.

There are many interesting and informative travel blogs here and on TripAdvisor.

Happy researching, Kathy

We have only ever one one Trip Report for Silversea on Trip Advisor. More are always welcome.

This review is from 3 years ago on the Silversea Explorer. That ship is being totally revamped and then the Cloud is being converted to an expedition ship. We are booked on the Cloud. I also found some reviews on CC but they were not very current either....and all would have been on the Explorer.

As I said - we have only had the one report from the company itself - thats why I posted the link.
