Favorite MDR items?

What are your favorite menu items in the main dining room? Mine is probably a wierd one- the savory bites. I can't get enough of those!

Coffee ice cream!! Also for lunch I had some sort of vegetable tart with goat cheese it was freakin AMAZING omg.

Lamb shank.

and I did not see my favourite strawberry bisque a couple weeks ago on Harmony. Our cruise on Indy in 2015 savory bites were not offered but when I requested them we had some the next night.

Escargot!

I love the savory bites too. I really miss the old bread rotation, they had some good bread various nights.

My favorite is probably Duck, if it is cooked right. Not something I typically get on land. But really, I enjoy probably 95% of the things I get in MDR.

I usuallydon"t yell here lol but the TUTI FRUITI SALAD BAR on lunch sea days is outsyanding.

Our favorites are escargot and the pumpkin rolls. On our cruise in March we were at a table for 8 and one night all 8 of us ordered the pumpkin rolls.

Key Lime Pie.

BBB Crème Brulee.

I like the short ribs with short grained rice followed by shortbread cookies and strawberry shortcake. (y)

Alas, you can only find these at lunch in the MDR as ‘shorts’are not allowed at dinner. :(

I haven't seen a savoury bite in ages!

Had them every night on the Empress last month. Asked the first night and they were in the bread basket the next 3 nights.

The Vignole salad. It's available as a first course, but also with salmon for the entree.

I also love the fish offerings, and that is what I order most of the time.

Oh, and the arrancini. We had never tried them before our first cruise.

Agree on Vignole salad, escargot, and lamb shank, and the lunch salad bar (although I found the quality better early on in some cruises, I think it depends on the length). Lobster night is always nice.

The desserts are almost always good, and I'm not a big sweets person - the portions are small, which is nice, and they're tasty. My favorite was lemon meringue pie, or getting the cheese plate with a glass of port on the drink package. :)

Lamb chops on Brilliance and espresso torte/cake for dessert--mmmmmmm!

Can't wait to again enjoy a Vidalia onion tart (maybe 2) on Oasis next month. They stopped offering them when they switched to the spice menus but Oasis is the only ship that I know of that has the new menus which includes them.

The savory bites with seeds, was not available on the Brilliance Aug. 29th cruise. I thought that, like lobster tails, are not available in the Medit. Mentioned my disappointment with Marko (waiter) and Carl (asst.) The very next night and every other night there was a plate with 7-8 pieces at our table.

I had a double helping of them on the Harmony 3 weeks ago.
