We organise a private tour in St Petersburg on Monday Sept 4th and Tuesday Sept 5th with a specialised operator, called Red October. We will visit Catherine Palace & park, The Savior on the Silled Blood Cathedral, Kazan Cathedral, St Isaac's Cathedral, Peter and Paul Fortress, Peterhof and fountains, Fabegré museum and Yusupovs' Palace. (The hermitage is not in this program as we will visit it on our own on Wednesday 6th). As you can read this is an intensive cultural program (no vodka tasting, no shopping ....:)).

If more people want to participate, the prices get lower: $524 if we are four; $442 if we are six to be paid at the end of the tour.

Visa is not needed as long that you have a passport. The operator takes care of all the papers.

Let me know if you are interested and I will provide the information you need to join.

Kind reagrds,

Henk

Henk,

We could be more helpful in pointing you to your roll call if we knew the ship and departure date ...

I see you are new to CC so welcome! If you cannot figure out how to find the roll call, we are available to help.

Red October is a well known and admired outfit on Cruise Critic so no fears there!

This is not any different that the other private tour operators in SPB, including Alla which we used a couple of times. All good.

Hello Mura, thanks for your message. I am indeed new to CC.

After posting the thread I received an automated message that I had to use the "roll call", which I have done, mentioning the name of the ship (Marina of Oceania Cruises). However I don't understand the difference between the "roll call" and the "thread". Can you help me ?

Yes. the on the ROLL CALL you find your cruise (ship and date) and post on there.

Therefore, you will contact those sailing with you and who might be interested in your tour.

The THREAD on the Oceania board is not directed specifically at YOUR cruise. J

I think you need both. The thread will be looked at by many more people who have taken this tour or similar ones with a lot of different tour operators and can give a review of all of them, not just the one you mention. Then check your roll call and you will have all you need to make a good decision. Both very good tools for all of us. :):):)

I see you have found the roll call for your cruise

That is where you will find others that are on your cruise

You can ask to share tours or info there

read through some of the posts in the Roll Call & you will see maybe others have tours in other ports they might be looking to share

This is the general forum for asking questions on the ship or services etc...

Enjoy

Lyn
