On the Carnival excursions, the Key West City view trolley train, the Key West Conch train and the Key West Old Town trolley are ALL $19.99. Which one is the most comfortable, less wait when waiting to get back on, best stops, best tour, etc?? I would love to hear your experiences and opinions for our cruise in June, when it's HOT in Key West . Thank you!!

We're planning on using the City View trolley while in KW. Anyone know (est.) how long it takes to take the whole trolley route? How often do the trolleys come by a spot to pick up passengers? We plan to go to one or two places on the tour and want to estimate our time riding on/waiting for a trolley so we can better plan our time at our stops and still get back to the ship with adequate time. Probably over-planning, eh? LOL. Thanks!

They list intervals of 30 minutes between stops for a trolley to come along.

FWIW

Stop 4 would be nice for Higgs beach and the views from the White Street pier, and you could walk through the botanical garden inside the West Martello Tower.

Stop 5 for your photo op at the Southernmost Point.

Stop 6 for the Hemingway House, the lighthouse, and it might be time for a drink and a snack at the new Blue Macaw (make-your-own Bloody Mary's)

Stop 7 for the Key West Bight.

Just got back and did the City View trolley with a groupon deal. How long it will take is anyone's guess. They say trolleys come around every 10-15 minutes, but that may or may not be the case. And the trolleys may be full with no one hopping off, so they may not be able to pick up riders. At some stops, it was quick and easy. At other stops, we waited 30min to an hour to hop on a trolley headed back. It was a little frustrating, but I think that's just how it goes with the trolleys. We got off at stop 8 to visit Kermit's, then walked Duval street for a while and back to the ship. I wish we had had time to do a more thorough ride and learn about the places in between, but we hopped on and off where we could and missed several stops. In all fairness, our ship arrived very late and we only got on the first trolley about 2 hours before the final one left. I think they had an influx of cruisers short on time, which caused some issues.
