Journey Accessible Deck Space, or Balcony Cabin?

Looking at our first Azamara cruise and it appears that Journey does not have much accessible deck space. It looks like there is no outside deck that goes around the ship, and that all open spaces are at the bow and stern, requiring one to go through the center of the ship to get to them. It also restricts what one can observe alongside, and would require traversing the center of the ship to follow something from bow to stern.

We generally spend a lot of our time out of the room on deck, wandering around for the best views, into or out of the sun or wind, etc.

Would we feel closed in if we had an interior cabin? On our Celebrity cruises we often would leave the cabin to walk the ship and not return for several hours.

If we get a balcony cabin we can at least be outside and see things as they go by. Maybe this would be solution.

Deck 10 jogging track goes all the way round and is a great space to walk around and to stand on when entering/leaving port. It's accessible by lift from both ends of the ship.

We tend to spend a lot of time on the sun deck on Deck 11, which is also a good viewing space when near land. You do have to go up a set of stairs to get to Deck 11.

While the open deck 5 space does not circle the ship there certainly is adequate space on both starboard and port sides. And, as has been pointed out, the walking track on deck 10 does circle the ship and is accessible from both forward and aft elevators.

This is a non-issue.

Thank you all for the information. It was not clear from the deck plans, probably because I am used to the Celebrity ships where there are open decks around the entire ship.

You have all probably saved us several thousand dollars!
