Passport for Cruise

That may be OK with the US, but some countries will not let you in with a smile in your passport.

Especially can prevent you from getting a visa for those countries that require one.

For safety, don't smile at all.

Seriously, they will deny you because of a slight smile? I have been to multiple countries as well as my husband. All of the Passports we have had we had been smiling in. Never an issue even with Visas. Don't you think the State Department should give you a warning or not accept pictures with smiles to prevent such things from happening?

Never encountered that. Our last 2 passports had smiles and in that time we have visited 70+ countries on 7 continents. Sometimes they will make requests for visa photos but never passports. In what countries are you referring?
