Well, I just got the e-mail today from NCL that my Oct. 7th Eastern is now a Western (really no surprise to me, I'm just happy to be cruising). I may have to go back and pay more attention to what you did at each port. :D

I use for most of my pictures a canon rebel t5. I think Costco has a t6 now. It's a easy to use dslr. I recommend it because you can get good quality pictures with little experience. You can also use it to improve your photo taking and it can be used in a fully manual mode if you advance to that point. I mainly use it in sports setting, especially when in motion or trying to capture a moving target. I get a faster shutter speed which means I get several pictures very fast. Plus with digital you can always delete bad ones.

I would ask others what they prefer as well. I know some people dislike a dslr for its bulk.
