Duty Free

Not sure when this came in but we were not allowed to buy duty free spirits aboard the Black Watch because we were on an intra EU cruise. However, when we went ashore we were able to purchase duty free from the terminals without problem. Drambui at £16 a litre. Sure it was confiscated by security but it was returned to our cabin yesterday.

There is no such thing as Duty Free within the EU, unless you are travelling outwith its borders.

Which port was Drambuie £16 a litre ?

Sounds like Gibraltar ?

It was Valletta which was just as good as Gibraltar. There were also good deals at Venice such as a litre of Bells for 9 euros.
