Going on Disney Magic in a few weeks, sailing around the Med. Can I pay tips on board in Euros or does it have to be dollar's?

Your gratuities will be charged to your onboard account. In US dollars.

While gratuities paid directly could be either US dollars or Euros, I'd be cautious about using the Euros. As the CMs would only be able to use them while the ship is is those ports that use them. And not all CMs will be on the ship for the whole European season.

You have several options. If you charge your tips, they will be charged in USD. You can convert currency at Guest Services from Euros to USD and charge them that way. Or you can cancel the automatic tips and tip the crew in any currency you choose. They are also able to convert currency on board if they have no use for the Euros, so a CM who doesn't need Euros can also convert them. No one will get "stuck," it is just a matter of who does the converting.

The ship runs on USD regardless of the port, but they do have the ability to convert to the currency of whatever countries they are stopping at.
