The walking tours in Skagway are easy. You have to be careful on those boardwalks though as they are uneven. The NPS in town does some of these walking tours. We enjoyed the one we were on very much. And it's free!:)

Where do you get the information on this? thank you!

DnA2010: The official name of the national park is the Klondike Gold Rush Natural Historical Park. It has two units -- one in Seattle and the other in Skagway. The website is: http://www.nps.gov/klgo

The Skagway NPS operation has interesting historical displays in several buildings. Their website will provide info on the walking tours. They even have a wonderful Junior Ranger program in one of the old historic saloons. When we were there three weeks ago the building Junior Ranger program was staffed by two NPS rangers supervising a building full of happy kiddos working on projects.

In Ketchikan we like to take the funicular up to the Cape Fox Lodge and then walk down to the Totem Heritage Center. From there it is an easy walk down to Creek Street.
