best and least expensive place to buy souvenir Red Sox or Harvard merchandise etc.

Hi All,

We are in Boston for the day in about a week, and I would like to buy a couple of souvenir sweatshirts or tshirts for my teens thought Red Sox, Harvard or something else). Where is the best place? Is there an inexpensive place rather than the tourist shops? Thanks!

Red Sox, Patriots, Bruins and Celtics stuff is everywhere.

Best is usually the opposite of Least Expensive. You'll see carts in the Boston Common selling all this stuff inexpensively, but it won't be high quality. Similarly cheap would be merchandise at a drugstore or grocery store.

For a good mix of price and quality you'd probably do best at a place like Marshalls or TJ Maxx, both of which are in the Back Bay section of Boston.

For highest prices, get Harvard things at the University book store and Red Sox stuff at the ballpark

The Red Sox hats from the street vendors seemed fine.

If you go to Quincy Market there's a big vendor there with average prices. Stuff looked pretty good to me.
