Driving in from Boston. Big baseball fans so hoping to go to the Mets game on Saturday and then cruise to Bermuda on Sunday. I am trying to figure out the best place to stay and park for the cruise. I was looking at the Hilton Inn Ridgefield Park, NJ. Are there other options? I have not had much luck searching via internet for hotels that provide transportation. Would consider staying near Citi Field and taking subway/uber to port. Appreciate your advice.

NCL Breakaway out of MCT or RC's Summit out of CL ??

Hotels in NYC, including Queens - do NOT offer any extended park & stay package, going to a Mets game the night before, parking at CitiField is more $$ parking fees & post-game (day or night) to NJ for overnight stay, tolls - kind of crazy, IMHO - by the time you add up all the little "extra" fees & transfer costs, wait & pickup time for any "included" shuttle services to the port, etc.

There are a # of hotels in the downtown Flushing area (and nearby in more residential & commercial area), less than a mile to CitiField and depending on its location - a short walk to the #7 subway train into/from Manhattan's (extended from Times Square to Hudson Yard @ JJ Convention Center - which would be "walkable" but otherwise a quick $10 taxi ride to nearby MCT)

Parking won't be "free" but some of them have discounted rates at their own underground or nearby commercial lot on contracts with them (Sheraton LGA or the newest Hyatt Place ... nice rooftop bar & plenty of high end Asian restaurants on the retails complex on 3 levels).

Coming from CT, it's an easy drive across the Bronx-Whitestone Bridge to Flushing on a weekend. Extended overnight parking at some of the area lots should run about $20 for 24 hours, taxes included - a surcharge might apply for SUV/minivan and oversized vehicles (length & height, etc.)

We did a Mets game (Yankees - Subway Series!) the night before a cruise a few years ago. Not cheap by any stretch of the imagination. We stayed in Astoria (near LGA), drove to Citi Field (we weren't near the #7), then the next day drove over to the pier. Price aside, it was a nice way to start our vacation.
