Canada Visa Requirement for Indonesian Passport with no Green Card

Hi,

I have a relative who will be taking a cruise to Canada from NYC port.

Here are the facts about this person:

- Indonesian Passport

- Not US Permanent Resident (no GC)

- Holds multiple entries US visa (B2)

- 65+

- Currently here in US for 4 months

Will this person need Canada Visitor or Transit visa?

If yes to either visa, can this person apply the visa directly to Canada Embassy or has to go through the visa service company?

I tried to search existing discussions, but I didn't have any luck. Either no answer, or the discussion has been very old.

Thanks a lot in advance!

Presumably the person is currently located/living in Indonesia. I expect a visa to visit Canada will be required. Probably best to contact the Canadian Visa Application Centre in Indonesia.

Thanks for the info.

The person is currently here in US.

I tried to contact the Canadian Embassy, but they won't return any call related to Visa.

Thanks - Is CVAC like the oursourced service for the Canadian visa application?

Is it possible to apply directly with Canadian embassy?

Thanks!

I'm definitely not an expert on how this works but I'm certain the CVACs are simply contracted administrative agents. I think visas can be arranged directly through the Canadian Consulate. I don't know where you live but maybe you should contact the nearest Consulate for additional information:
