Small purse/bag for cruise card and phone?

Recommended Posts

I have a small purse I use for concerts and things where I don't need my everyday purse (and I can dance around without a large bag slamming everywhere!)....you can find cute, small bags at any dept. store! I have a summer and winter one!

Mine fits on my shoulder with a short shoulder strap, so hands can be free, but the purse is still in contact with my body....just enough room for a comb, tissues, lipstick phone, etc.....

You don't need anything special..just something small and cute! Check out any store that carries purses!

I just bought a cute little slim cross body bag from Marshalls for around $17. I like the ones that aren't bulky and have a zip pocket in the back(close to the body) then a main pocket. I like to keep it slim so its not to bulging. It also nice to take into port, carries my sea pass card, id, phone and a little cash.

I have a couple of wristlet wallets. One by Coach, the other is a Kate Spade, but you can find budget brands easily enough. Wristlets can vary in size, but the ones I have are pretty small and perfect for carrying in the evening on a cruise when all you need is a phone (maybe), ship card, lipstick and maybe a few casino chips/cash.

for phone pills and card I carry a black silk envelope bag with a little flower on it and gold handle. My husband's Nanna used this bag and it is well over 60 years old. It is pretty and has a pretty memory that makes a cruise even more special. I have a blue beaded one from my daughter's wedding that is as good. Tiny thing for purse 6 x4 inches but the phone fits perfectly. Alternative is to stick the key card in the lady's private space (bra) or I saw my granddaughter stick it in her shoe (high heel -- it shows in the picture:D)

I love my Running Buddy, small discreet, and the magnets do not bother the card at all. Perfect for walking around the ship, will hold my card, money (for casino) and camera. I have a larger one for shore visits so I can put my camera, money, card and extra's in it.

Tested one of those at the Fair last year. Thought it got too heavy for my waistband when my phone and fabric card pocket were inside and didn't like how easily it could be taken off the waistband while in port.

Saw something else that looked promising. A newish take on a fanny pack- a north/south pocket that could either be attached to its own belt or onto belt loops.

Easily? Wow, mine is very hard to remove from my waistband, and the small one is very light. I like being hands free, and almost invisible under my tops. The midsize does hold my camera and lipstick, and card, money, etc. It's got to be safer in port than carrying a purse, or worse, shudder, a fanny pack..

Fill it up and had Sis pickpocket me. Easily removed with a sharp tug.

ETA--- at the fair I didn't test Running Buddy but a RooSport.

$33.18 This is the deal of the year on the Coach corner zip wristlet! The wrist strap even opens so that you can hook it onto a beltloop if that's your style.

OH, well, that explains it. Running Buddy's are extremely hard to pull off. I mean, these really work. If your pants are snug, they won't come off.
