We're on the late Thomas Cook flight (19:15) back to Gatwick and want to plan our last day in Malta.

Has anyone any idea what time we will disembark for the airport? Will it be safe to plan a morning activity and a late lunch back on Oceana?

Any advice most welcome.

Also on Oceana, leaving ship 3rd August.. Our flight back to Gatwick 21.05 - cruised many times from and to Southampton so know the drill but this is new to us! Hopefully won't get turfed out of cabin by 8.00 a.m? Notice there is a trip which can be booked to fill up some time but if we don't want to do that how long can we stay on ship?

I'm also on the 3rd August sailing. If Britannia is anything to go by, the evening flight (6pm) got us off the ship at 2:30 and to the airport. We had to be out the cabin by 8am but you could leave bags in the theatre so you could go for a wander. I suspect it will be a similar experience. The next lot of passengers will be turning up just after midday so they need the cabins, it might be possible to rent a day cabin though.

There is the Farewell to Malta trip which takes you off earlier and takes you straight to the airport after.
