Some do and how is anyone supposed to know if they hired them.:o

What I meant is there a facility to hire on board as per previous cruise ships I have been on although it was not Msc.

My DH wanted to wear a Tuxedo on our cruise on the Divina next month for our formal night photos and he called MSC and was informed that they do not have a rental service nor could they recommend a rental agency . He did some research and found a company online called National Tuxedo Rental who will rent one for cruisers . You send in your measurements and payment information and they send out the suit 10 days prior to your trip and you have 3 days following your cruise until it needs to be returned . Very reasonable prices .

Ah that's a shame it's not available to do on ship. That's great you were able to find a company that rents/delivers. Sadly this would not be possible for us as we are travelling from uk next month also.

You will see some tuxedos on board but less and less every year . suite or jacket will be fine. And no ,no more rental tux on cruise ships.

It's been a money loser on ships, since they have gotten away from a firm formal policy.

The husband of a friend of mine (also UK based) bought a very adequate looking dinner suit /tux at Matalan, think it cost £50. Certainly not Saville Row, but for wearing for a few hours on formal nights when cruising, seemed like a bargain :)

DH sees really nice tuxes in charity shops on a regular basis. He always wears one on our cruises, though not everyone does.

As you are from the UK look at Marks and Spencer as they do very nice reasonably priced dinner suits.
