Water Sports Platform Procedures Info

We are new to Windstar and will be aboard Star Pride in September in the Adriatic. We're hoping for at least one chance to use the platform. I would like to know how Windstar organizes access to the platform. Is there a sign up sheet for different equipment? Are there time limits for more popular equipment? If so, usually how long? Any info about the procedures, any tips or suggestions, would be appreciated.

I was on the Star Breeze last year, Rome to Barcelona and a couple of months ago on the Star Legend in the Eastern Caribbean. On the Breeze there was only one stop (Sardinia) where they put out the toys; on the Legend they were deployed at several stops and were also taken ashore for the BBQ event. The stuff was almost never utilized and I did not see a signup sheet.

I swam off the platform while anchored near Dubrovnik last September from Pride. It wasn't busy at all. I was pleasantly surprised we were allowed to swim in the open sea. It was quite an experience! On previous Seabourn cruises there was a swimming cage that was lowered off the stern.
