Royal Clipper Cat2 VS Cat4

We always take a cat4 cabin on the Royal Clipper and the Star Clipper and the Star Flyer. Of course it is our choice and we know why we do it. A sail on the wonderful Clippers is not the same as cruise on a cruise ship. You feel the ocean. You hear the ocean. The boat is alive!!!

Is there much a difference between a category 2 berth and a 3 or 4? We are thinking about the March 18th Caribbean sail and I have a choice. The cat threes are on the clipper deck at the stern near the purser's office and the owner's cabin. Any thoughts are appreciated.

The cabins and amenities are essentially the same in Cat 2, 3 and 4. Only the location differ. Some say they can hear the engines when in an aft cabin. We couldn't. Far forward cabins are definitely rougher is high seas. Hallway noise is not much of a factor anywhere on the ship. Other than those factors it's a matter of convenience and access to the dining room and deck and that amounts to a flight of stairs. Not a big problem for us.
