Atlantis visit with couple in 80's

They really want to go to Atlantis... I checked ship tour for $49.00 but it stated LOTS OF WALKING. Don't think they could do that.

If we go ourselves which mode of transportation (Taxi or water taxi) would involve less walking.

Also, if we go ourselves can we purchase tour tickets to the aquarium & if we can, will we be allowed to walk around Atlantis?

Take a regular taxi. The water taxi drops you off across the street and then you have to walk through Marina Village to get to Atlantis. The regular taxi will drop you off at the hotel. It's still a lot of walking though, because Atlantis is huge.

If you get aquarium tickets, you'll be able to walk around parts of Atlantis. For example, the Predator Lagoon is included but it's not in the main towers so you walk through the property to get there.

Oh, one more thing. You don't have to take the guided tour of the aquarium. You might want to just walk around on your own so you can go at your own pace and stop if anyone gets tired.

For the cost of the day pass alone, you can buy the ships excursion and have transportation included. Also don't have to worry about getting back to the ship late if you purchase throughout the cruise line. Which cruise line offers this excursion for only $49?

Also, does Atlantis have motorized carts?
